Vatnajökull, Iceland
Centuries-old ice had moved slowly from the ice caps in Iceland's center to the glacier terminals. The tremendous forces created a magical cavern of ice.
The difference in color stems from the ash content of the ice in the lower part. The ice above it was wishout ash, and packed so densely that it remained clear. I couldn't believe the natural melting patterns.
