Heart of Winter
My winter visit to Greenland was indeed a magical one. I was incredibly lucky to witness various conditions and spectacular light.
On this particular afternoon, I was hiking on the frozen Lake Tasersuaq ("Big Lake" in Greenlandic), which fortunately was clear of snow after strong winds, when I spotted this beautiful cracked pattern. The afternoon sun was shining with golden light on the heart-shaped Mount Uummannaq.
