Perforated

Upon visiting Kolmanskop on my 2018 Namibia workshop, we were greeted with exceptional weather, including pouring rain and the harshest thunder storm in 12 years! Local children were terrified of the lightning and thunder they had never seen before, and I didn't know whether I should laugh or cry. 

These were indeed unique conditions, but my participants were less enthusiastic since they didn't get sunlight shining through the windows, and since we had to lug around with our gear in the rain. I still tried to convince them that these conditions presented a unique opportunity. Not every day can you shoot Kolmanskop with the dunes in the rooms perforated by rain! I, for one, enjoyed myself :)
