Pondering its Froginess

One of my declared goals when I went on the trip to Costa Rica was the red-eyed tree frog, and believe me, this creature was everything I thought it would be- and more. You just can’t be slimier, more colorful, cuter or more photogenic than this little pack of charm. I immediately fell in love with it, and this is one of the first results.

Since this is a wild animal (i.e. *not* captive), and since this frog is nocturnal, the shot had to be taken using artificial light, as much as I dislike that. This cute female behaved like a true model, allowing me to take several long exposures using LED torches as light-sources.
